WAAREE Energies Bags Orders Worth USD 2.37 Billion from Indian and International Customers

Waaree Energies Limited is one of India’s most prominent players in the photo-voltaic module manufacturing industry. It has received new orders in India and international markets for high-efficiency bifacial solar panels of 540Wp and 600Wp.


The secured new orders are aggregating USD 2.37 billion said the company in it’s release.


These panels will be manufactured in Waaree’s factory using M10 or M12 cells, it added.

Waaree has a current capacity of 4 GW for PV module manufacturing and plans to increase that by additional 5 GW by December 2022. By March 2023, a 4 GW solar cell manufacturing plant will be in operation.

Waaree Energys Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Hitesh Doshi stated that these orders were consistent with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by the Indian government. They will generate more than USD 2 Billion in foreign exchange, while also creating hundreds of jobs. We will be able to strengthen our market position by diversifying our clientele and expanding into new markets with these orders. Waaree has delivered solar modules that have been manufactured to international standards to 19 countries. Waaree Energies was also awarded the “Tier-1 PV Module Manufacturer” rating by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The Economic Times has named WAAREE “India’s Best Brand” in the Solar Industry. PVEL, an internationally recognized Lab for photovoltaic testing has just named Waaree as Top Performers in their 2022 Scorecard.
