Brookfield Renewable India has received its first greenfield photovoltaic challenge. It is a 445 MW capacity close to Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The project will produce over 800 GWh annually of clean energy and eliminate 6,00,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. The project features bifacial solar panels and waterless robotic cleaning systems. Brookfield India will have a 1 GW operational renewable energy portfolio upon full commissioning. Nawal Saini (managing director at Brookfield) said that Brookfield India has a multi-generational strategy.
The company has inked a 25 year energy buy pact to NTPC to promote electricity to Madhya Pradesh Energy Administration Firm as well as Puducherry Electric Energy Division. The project is developed in partnership with Axis Vitality Ventures.
Brookfield India’s operational portfolio of renewable vitality will reach 1 GW upon full commissioning. Nawal Saini (managing director at Brookfield) stated that Brookfield India has a number GW growth partnerships with corporations.
Tata Energy Photo voltaic Technologies was the development partner with HSBC India. Axis Financial institution were the financing companions.
