Cabinet Approves Second Tranche of Rs.19,500 Crore Solar PLI

The Union Cabinet on September 21 approved the second tranche of the performance-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the development of solar PV modules, with an outlay of Rs 19,500 crore. The first tranche of Solar PLI for Rs 4,500 crore was approved last year. The PLI for the “National Programme on High-Efficiency Solar PV Modules” is aimed at achieving a manufacturing capacity of “Giga Watt (GW)-scale in high-efficiency solar PV modules”, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said in a press briefing following the Cabinet meeting. “A provision of Rs 19, 500 crore has been made,” Thakur said, adding that the government wants to create an “ecosystem for manufacturing of high-efficiency solar PV modules”.

EESL Floats Tender for Procurement of 24 MW Solar Module for Maharashtra

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has floated a tender for Procurement of 24 MWp poly crystalline solar PV module (330 Wp and above) for the State of Maharashtra. However, the quantity quoted in the tender (24 MWp) may increase or decrease as per EESL’s requirement. Last date for submitting a bid is 17 October, 2022 at 11:00. Bids will open on that day at 11:30. Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 25,000/- as a tender fee amount. Bid Security/EMD amount is Rs. 1.18 Crores

NTPC Tenders for 1.1 MW of Rooftop Solar Systems in Korba

NTPC is inviting bidders to develop grid-connected rooftop solar panels in Chhattisgarh. Rooftop solar systems would be installed on buildings at NTPC Korba’s facility and have a maximum capacity of 1.1 MW. The deadline for bid submission is October 7, 2022 and bids will be opened on 10th October. According to the tender guidelines, scope of work includes supply, erection and testing of equipment and materials, packing and transportation, transit insurance and delivery to site. Unloading, storage and equipment erection will also be included, as well as any associated civil or structural works.
