Maharashtra’s CIDCO Floats Tender To Install 4.18 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) has issued a request for proposals for the installation of 4.18 MW of rooftop solar systems with gross metering at various sites on its premises in Navi Mumbai, following the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The last date for proposal submissions is November 17, 2022.

The project’s design, funding, erection, engineering, supply, procurement, testing, installation, and commissioning under a gross metering arrangement are all included in the scope of work. 

The undertaking must be finished in 18 months. The winning bidder will also be responsible for 25 years of project operation and maintenance (O&M).

To participate in the tender, bidders must have had a minimum annual revenue of Rs 170 million during the previous 5 years. Additionally, they must have a minimum net worth of Rs. 70 million in the most recent fiscal year, and they must have generated profits during the previous three years.

Further, the bidders must have completed the installation and commissioning of one rooftop solar system with a capacity of 3,300 kW or more in a single contract in the last 5 years. At least 1,600 kW of which must have been a grid-connected solar system, which should have been in operation for at least a year prior to the bid opening.

Alternatively, bidders must have completed the installation and commissioning of 2 rooftop solar systems with a capacity of 2,100 kW or more over the course of two contracts in the past 5 years, which should have been up and running for at least one year. Further, at least 1,000 kW of the combined capacity must have been grid-connected solar systems. 

Or, participants in the tender process must have installed and commissioned 3 rooftop solar systems with a capacity of 1,700 kW or more over the 5 five years, 850 kW of which must have been grid-connected systems. The 1,700 kW project ought to have been operating successfully for the last 12 months.
