JREDA Issues 3 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Tender

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA)issued tender for Design, Manufacture, Testing, Supply, Installation & Commissioning of 3 MWp Grid connected Rooftop SPV Power Plants of different capacities including Five Years Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC) on Turnkey basis on Government Residential Buildings anywhere in the state of Jharkhand. Estimated Cost of the tender is 24,00,00,000/-. Last Date to submit the tender is 21-11-2022 and the same will be opened on the next day. EMD for the general bidder is Rs. 2.08 lakhs for the lot size of 100 kWp Grid Connected Solar Rooftop Power Plant. The bidders quoting for higher capacities are required to submit EMD in the same proportion.

Panvel Municipal Corporation Plans to Install Rooftop Solar Systems at 5 Major Sites in City

Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), has launched a tender to hire a contractor to set up a rooftop solar energy project at five locations in the city. After examining 22 locations, the civic body decided on five locations. Five locations have been selected: Adyakrantiveer Vasudev Basudev Phadke Natyagruha, Fire Office Building, Dr Ambedkar Bhavan, STP Plant and Vilasrao Deshmukh shopping complex. From the date of installation, the civic body anticipates generating around 1300kWh annually. The PMC will use the generated solar energy to power the buildings. If there is excess power, it will go to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) via grid-connection.

Madhya Pradesh To Establish Power & Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing Zone

The Project Management Agency (PMA) has chosen the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) to establish manufacturing zones for power and renewable energy equipment on a trial basis. Eight states submitted applications for the same after the call for Expressions of Interest, issued in May of this year. Among the eight states—Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana—MPIDC received the highest scores. The proposal, a collaboration between the Ministries of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Ministry of Power (MoP), calls for the construction of two brownfield industrial zones and a greenfield manufacturing zone, with a total government funding commitment of Rs. 10 billion.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Launches its Waste To Energy Programme

The Waste to Energy Programme has a budget of Rs 6 billion. This programme will be implemented by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA). The programme is called “Programme on Energy from Urban, Industrial and Agricultural Wastes/Residues”. It may also be known as “Waste to Energy Programme”. The programme’s objective is to help set up Waste to Energy projects to generate Biogas/ BioCNG/ Energy/ Power / Producer or syngas from industrial, urban and agricultural wastes/residues. The programme provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to project developers and service charges to implementing/inspection agencies in respect of successful commissioning of Waste to Energy plants for generation of Biogas, Bio-CNG/enriched Biogas/Compressed Biogas, Power/ generation of producer or syngas.

MNRE Issues Amendment in the Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Power Procurement from Grid Connected Wind Solar Hybrid Projects

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued an office memorandum dated November 02, 2022 on Amendment in the ‘Guidelines for tariff based competitive bidding process for procurement of power from grid connected wind solar hybrid projects’ issued dated October 14, 2020”. MNRE had vide office memorandum dated October 14, 2020 issued ‘Guidelines for tariff based competitive bidding process for procurement of power from grid connected wind solar hybrid projects’, which was subsequently amended vide memorandums dated July 23, 2021 and March 09, 2022.

Consumers with Connected Load of 100 KW Can Get Renewable Energy Through Green Energy Portal

Union power minister RK Singh launched the Green Energy Open Access Portal on November 11 to increase the purchase of renewable energy (RE) in the country. The portal will allow renewable energy open access to any consumer with a connected load of 100 kW or above.Ministry of Power and New and Renewable Energy in a statement said that any consumer with a connected load of 100 kW or above can get Renewable Energy through open access from any Renewable Energy generating plant set up by himself; or by any developer. The open access has to be granted within 15 days. The application for open access can be made on this portal.
