In Jawa Timur Indonesia, GoodWe donated it’s ES series hybrid inverter to UMM (Universitas Muhamadiyah Malang). UMM Established in 1964 in Malang, which is committed to delivering the next generation of the nation to grow and develop into professional human beings. Within the harmony of the various backgrounds in the academic communities, the white campus has become a place that is also rich in culture.
In order to lead the popularization of green energy, and accelerate the realization of carbon neutrality in Indonesia, UMM becomes the first batch of universities that use renewable energy. GoodWe advocates this kind of meaningful leadership behavior, the energy storage system will also solve their hidden trouble of power outages and prompt their commitment of green energy transition.
The GoodWe ES series bi-directional energy storage inverter can be used for both on-grid and off-grid PV systems, with the ability to control the flow of energy intelligently. During the day, the PV array generates electricity which can be provided either to the loads, fed into the grid or charge the battery, depending on the economics and set-up. The electricity stored can be released when the loads require it during the night, including inductive loads such as air conditioners or refrigerators.
Besides the sponsor ceremony, over 300 university students from UMM attended the public welfare electrical training and learnt the logic of solar energy. GoodWe hybrid inverters range from 3kw to 100kW, covering residential and commercial industry, the GoodWe hybrid systems could also be able to communicate with smart plugs and open remote control to realize power supply priority and real-time energy monitoring, which helps to increase solar energy power supply efficiency.

“We are delighted to sponsor our hybrid inverter to UMM and feel honored to be the representatives to popularize PV and energy storage knowledge to students on university campuses. They are the hope of the future and will be the indispensable people on the road to sustainable energy. GoodWe will continue putting efforts and resources in Southeast Asia, enhance the PV development goal in the whole region, this is also meets UMM’s vision, to be a leading university in science, technology, and art based on Islamic values.” Said Richard Mercury, GoodWe sales manager of Indonesia.
