The United States and the United Arab Emirates had announced that $20 billion of their $100 billion clean energy partnership would be used to fund 15 new gigawatts in renewable energy projects by 2035.
Masdar would lead the investments, along with a group of private US investors. The funds will be financed by $7 billion in private sector equity and US debt financing of $13 billion.
Recently, Masdar, one of the world’s leading clean energy companies, Port of Amsterdam, SkyNRG, Evos Amsterdam, and Zenith Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the development of a green hydrogen supply chain between Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam to support Dutch and European markets.Â
