The Solar Powered Feed Mill project funded by the Mindanao Development Authority or MinDA in the city has been completed and is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2023.

The aforementioned project was built by MinDA at the Demo Farm of the City Agriculture Office in Barangay Kalaisan Kidapawan City with a total cost of P6,464,725.46.

The project was implemented under the Integration of Productive Uses of Renewable Energy for Sustainable and Inclusive Energization in Mindanao or IPURE Mindanao Project.

City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo Evangelista said this development after the team from MinDA visited him, where the status and updates of the Solar Power Feed Mill Project were discussed.

The aim of the aforementioned project is to help the agricultural sector, especially those that produce feed from corn and rice to process their products through renewable energy solutions, particularly solar energy.

MinDA installed the Solar Powered Feed Mill Project at the Demo Farm of the City Agriculture Office from March to December 2022.
