GameChange Solar has signed a contract with Hassan Allam Construction to supply its Genius Trackerโข solar tracking system for a 258 MWp solar project in Benban, Egypt.
The project is being developed by Infinity Power, while Hassan Allam Construction will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
With this contract, GameChange Solar will deliver its 1R ร 4 string tracker architecture, designed to meet the projectโs terrain and civil engineering requirements. The company said the order marks its fourth project in Egypt, increasing its total installed capacity in the country to more than 3 GWp.
The solar facility will be located at the Benban Solar Park, one of the largest solar development hubs in the region. The project site requires equipment capable of operating efficiently in high-temperature and high-dust conditions, typical of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
According to GameChange Solar, the company was selected due to its previous project experience in Egypt, its regional support network, and its ability to meet accelerated project delivery timelines.
Anirudha Sharma, Vice President โ Business Development for India, MENA and CIS at GameChange Solar, said the project represents an important milestone for the companyโs regional growth strategy. He noted that the firm has expanded its on-ground capabilities across the MENA region and that the new order raises GameChange Solarโs cumulative installed capacity in the region to approximately 6.7 GWp.
The Benban project will integrate 200 MW of solar power generation with a 120 MWh battery energy storage system, creating a hybrid renewable energy facility designed to support grid reliability.
The development also aligns with Egyptโs national energy transition strategy, which targets 42% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030 and 65% by 2040.
Hany Fayed, Managing Director of Hassan Allam Constructions, said large-scale projects such as Benban require careful coordination and disciplined execution across partners. He added that the company values partners capable of providing strong technical support and maintaining project timelines as construction progresses.
