Coal India Arm Floats EPC Tender To Install 35 MW Solar Projects In West Bengal

In order to choose a contractor for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of a 35 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project along with the associated transmission system in West Bengal, the Coal India (CIL) subsidiary, Coal India Navikarniya Urja Limited (CNUL), has issued an invitation for bids. The last day for proposals to be submitted is February 22, 2023, and the opening of bids will take place the following day. The project is expected to cost Rs. 2.05 billion, which will be installed at three sites, one in Satgram (Kalidaspur 10 MW), and two in the Kunustoria (Mahabir 12.5 MW and Amritnagar 12.5 MW) of the Eastern Coalfield (ECL), West Bengal. ECL will use the solar energy produced for internal usage. West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDC) will take over the supply and development of the transmission network.

MNRE Issues Extension of Deadline for Self-Certification of Solar Inverters to June 30, 2023

The deadline to comply with and implement the Quality Control Order 2017, for solar photovoltaic Inverters, has been extended by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). It will now be June 30, 2023. In view of the availability of limited test facilities and providing more time for compliance, the implementation of Quality Control Order, 2017 for SPV inverters is now extended from 31.12.2022 to 30.06.2023 or till further orders.

PM-KUSUM Scheme Gets 3 Year Extension Till March 2026

The government has extended PM-KUSUM scheme till March 2026 as its implementation was significantly affected due to the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the pace of PM-KUSUM implementation. In a written response to the Lok Sabha, R K Singh, Minister MNRE, stated that the ministry, also performed a third-party evaluation of the scheme and recommended that the scheme be extended until 31.3.2026. The timeline for executing projects under the scheme was extended by state implementing agencies.

East Central Railways Issues Tender To Install 3 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

The East Central Railway’s Danapur railway division has issued an invitation for bids for the appointment of agencies to carry out 3.252 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Bids must be submitted by February 24, 2023, and on the same day, bids will be revealed. Each bidder is required to provide Rs. 1.07 million/MW as an earnest money deposit. Within 30 days of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA), the winning bidders must submit the zonal railroads a performance bank guarantee in the amount of Rs. 1.6 million/MW and a bid processing fee of Rs. 75,000/MW of allocated capacity.

ANERT Issues Tender For Implementation of 1 MW of Solar Power Plants

Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has e-invited bids from experience and eligible bidders to participate in the Request for Selection (RFS) of agency for the Implementation of Solar Power Plants of cumulative capacity of 1 MW at Government Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram under Solar City project funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Ltd. Scope of work is to Design, Supply, Engineering, Erection Testing, Commissioning of SPV Power Plant of cumulative capacity of 1 MWp with Grid connectivity along with 10 years of Operation & Maintenance. The bidder would have to manage the grid connectivity and metering of the solar project. Last date for submission of bid is 15/02/2023 till 3.00 PM and bid (Techno-Commercial) opening date is 16/02/2023 at 3.30 PM

RUVNL Floats Tender For Setting Up 1500 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Projects with Storage Across India

Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam (RUVNL), has invited bids for setting up of 1500 MW(AC) ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects anywhere in India with required storage to have flexibility in scheduling of power as per requirement of Discoms through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding for a period of 25 years. Last date for submitting bids is February 28, 2023. The bids will be opened on March 3. Bid processing fee is Rs. 5 Lakh +18% GST for each project from 50 MW up to 99 MW and Rs. 15 Lakh + 18% GST for each Project from 100 MW and above.

MNRE Increases CFA for Residential Category in North Eastern and Hilly States/UT

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has increased the Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for Residential Category in Hilly, North Eastern States. The Ministry has decided to provide higher CFA for residential consumers of North Eastern States including Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. All residential consumers of these states/UTs applying for installation of rooftop solar on the National Portal for Rooftop Solar on or after date of issuance of this OM will be eligible to get higher CFA as mentioned below.:
i. Individual Household – For first 3 kW: Rs. 17662/ kW and for RTS capacity beyond 3 kW and upto 10 kW: Rs. 8831/kW.
ii. Resident Welfare Associations/Group Housing Societies (RWA/GHS) – Rs. 8831/kW for common facilities up to 500 kWp at 10 kWp per house.
