Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of 5 MW and 7.5 MW (12.5 MW in total) of solar projects located at its facility in Trichy, Tamil Nadu for a period of one year.
Bidders have until February 21, 2023, to submit their proposals, with bids to be opened on the same day.
Bidders will have to submit ₹51,462 as EMD, with the successful bidder required to submit an amount equivalent to 5% of the contract value as a security deposit within 15 days of the bid’s acceptance.
The vendor will have to engage maintenance personnel to carry out tasks such as solar panel cleaning, vegetation removal, outer yard high-tension maintenance, and transformer oil filtration.
To participate in the tender, bidders must have a minimum of one year of experience in carrying out annual maintenance works of a solar power project with a capacity of 1 MW or higher in the past ten years.
If the project gets delayed then the vendor will be charged 0.5% of the line item value for each day of delay, with a ceiling of 10% of the contract value.
Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) will be given preference in the purchasing process. If the lowest bidder is not an MSE, but an MSE service provider has quoted a price within 15% of the lowest bid, then 100% of the order quantity will be awarded to the MSE bidder, subject to acceptance of the lowest bid price.
The contractor will be responsible for supervising the execution of the contract or appointing an agent that is acceptable to BHEL officials.
In the month of November last year BHEL had invited bids for O&M of 40 MW of Solar PV plant of NLC at Neyveli, Cuddalore District, Tamilnadu.
