Cleantech Solar, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in India and Southeast Asia, has commissioned 37 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its solar parks across Maharashtra with a total capacity of 300 MWp. Power will be procured by the client from these solar parks on a captive basis, providing green energy to their manufacturing facilities in the state.
This long-term solar partnership between Cleantech Solar and the customer is expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of clean energy during project lifetime, amounting to a reduction of approximately 1,198 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey solar provider and has designed, financed and built the fully operational solar project. The developer will also provide operation and maintenance services for the project throughout the term of the agreement.
Mr. Raju Shukla, Founder and CEO of Cleantech Solar, said “We are honoured to be the chosen sustainability partner for some of the world’s leading industrial manufacturers, providing renewable energy to the client from our state-of-the-art solar parks in Maharashtra in this instance. The procurement of renewable energy by top corporate consumers is a great sign and indicates their commitment to power operations sustainably, reducing their carbon footprint and minimising environmental impact. Our high-quality solar solution requires no investment from the client, provides security of energy supply and significant savings on energy costs. Congratulations to both teams on the successful commissioning of the systems and we hope to build on this partnership further.”
