RUVNL Invites Bids for 1,200 MW Solar Power Projects in India

Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam (RUVNL) has issued an invitation to tender for the establishment of 1,200 MW solar power projects in India that must commit to supply power for at least six hours during peak demand periods from energy storage systems.

The deadline for submitting bids is April 17, 2023.

Bidders are required to pay a bid processing fee and furnish an earnest money deposit.

The successful bidder must also provide a performance bank guarantee before signing the power purchase agreement.

RUVNL intends to utilize the energy generated to meet its renewable purchase obligation targets.

The projects should have a minimum capacity of 50 MW, and only established and operational technologies will be used. The bidders must meet the minimum net worth, annual turnover, internal resource generation capability, and lending institution approval requirements.

The projects should be designed for interconnection with the interstate transmission system and maintain an annual supply corresponding to the capacity utilization factor of not less than 90% of the declared value and not more than 120% of the declared CUF value during the PPA duration of 25 years.
