South Energy, a major energy provider, announced the successful installation of solar panels in 10 buildings at Sakany. This is the first leasehold staff accommodation development in Dubai South. It provides 933 kWp capacity.
South Energy’s new initiative aligns with its ongoing sustainability efforts. This is especially true with 2023 being the Year of Sustainability and the UAE hosting COP 28 (an international climate convention that the United Nations holds annually).
After this installation, 35% will be supplied with clean energy from the solar plants.
South Energy is located in Dubai South. It was founded in 2017 to be a key driver of sustainable development and support the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy. It provides many energy solutions including renewable energy and energy-saving retrofits. There is also district cooling.
