The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has announced that it has extended the deadline for power generators to submit their details by one month. As per the latest order, the deadline has been moved from April 15 to May 15, 2023.
CERC has ordered the Central Generating Companies, Joint Ventures Companies, Independent Power Producers, and Central/Inter-State Transmission Companies whose tariff is being regulated by the CERC to provide information on operational data and O&M expenses for the tariff period starting from 1.4.2024. The commission had directed these companies to submit the required information by 15th April 2023. However, due to the difficulties faced by these companies, they have requested an extension to submit the information.
The CERC has considered their request and extended the last date for submission of information to 15th May 2023.
