Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) to procure 1000 MW of solar power through a competitive bidding process, followed by an e-Reverse Auction. The RfS is open to grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects with a capacity of 5 MW and above, located anywhere in Punjab.
Interested bidders are required to submit their responses online by July 10, 2023, along with all necessary documents as per Section 3.18B. The physical submission of documents should be made at the tender issuing authority’s office in Patiala by the same date and time. The technical bid opening is scheduled for July 12, 2023, at 11:00 Hrs, followed by the financial bid opening on August 28, 2023, at 11:00 Hrs.
The reverse auction date will be communicated to qualified bidders on the day of the e-Reverse Auction. The bid validity period is set until January 6, 2024, lasting 180 days. The RfS document can be obtained at a non-refundable cost of Rs. 25,000/- plus 18% GST, while a processing fee of Rs. 3 lakhs plus 18% GST is required. Earnest Money of Rs. 4 lakh per MW must be submitted as a bank guarantee along with the response to RfS.
PSPCL’s initiative aims to procure a substantial amount of solar power and further promote renewable energy generation in Punjab.
