PFC Consulting Calls for Bids to Evacuate 1,500 MW of Renewable Energy from Maharashtra’s Solapur SEZ

PFC Consulting, a subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), has initiated the bidding process for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) to evacuate 1,500 MW of power from renewable energy projects in Maharashtra’s Solapur special economic zone. The project will follow a build, own, operate, and transfer model.

Interested parties can submit their bids online until August 28, 2023, with bid opening scheduled for the same day. Upon receiving the letter of intent, the chosen bidder must provide a contract performance guarantee of โ‚น15 crore within ten days.

The project must be completed within 24 months from the signing of the transmission service agreement.

The aim of the bidding process is to select a successful bidder who will acquire 100% equity shares of the special purpose vehicle (SPV), including its assets and liabilities, in accordance with the share purchase agreement.

Eligible bidders should possess a track record of infrastructure sector projects over the past five years with a combined capital expenditure of at least โ‚น500 crore. Each project’s capital expenditure should be no less than โ‚น100 crore.
