SEIA, the leading national trade association for the U.S. solar and storage industry, announced the addition of Primergy, a distinguished California-based developer, owner, and operator of solar and storage projects, to its board of directors.
With significant energy incentives driving American solar manufacturing and heightened demand for solar solutions, Primergy’s expertise in crafting thoughtful, community-oriented projects nationwide will be instrumental in accelerating SEIA’s ambitious goals for the Solar+ Decade. Established in 2020, Primergy works on the development, financing, construction, ownership, and operation of utility-scale solar, commercial solar, and large-scale battery storage projects. The company has a diverse portfolio spanning fifteen states.
“SEIA is excited to welcome Primergy to our board of directors,” said SEIA president and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper. “Primergy’s focus on engaging with community stakeholders and developing lasting partnerships exemplifies the work of our industry. As we push to meet our goals for the Solar+ Decade, Primergy’s perspective will be a valuable addition to our board of directors.”
“We are proud to join SEIA’s board of directors and collaborate with the leading organizations in our industry to harness the power of solar energy and energy storage,” said Ty Daul, CEO of Primergy Solar. “Our country’s energy reliability and resilience depend on the mass deployment of cost-effective clean energy and together we can drive innovation and policy to accelerate its adoption nationwide.”
Solar energy is a major economic driver, providing employment to over 255,000 Americans and supporting more than 10,000 businesses. This thriving industry continues to attract significant investments.
With a target of accounting for 30% of all U.S. electricity generation by 2030, the solar and storage industry is actively working to generate well-paying jobs, reduce electricity expenses for American households, and strengthen the nation’s energy security. Through partnerships with leading entities like Primergy and collaboration across the sector, SEIA is actively advocating for policies that pave the way for a fair and sustainable clean energy economy accessible to all Americans.
