Emeren Group Ltd, a leading global solar project owner, operator, and developer, has recently announced the successful sale of an 11.5 MWp PV project to Swiss-based energy company MET Group. The project, developed to the Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage, will be situated in Kentzlin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and is set to contribute to Germany’s renewable energy infrastructure. MET Group will take charge of the construction and operation of the power plant, marking a significant milestone for both companies. Emeren’s entry into the German market in early 2021 has been met with remarkable progress, culminating in the development and sale of its first RTB project. The Berlin-based subsidiary, Emeren Germany GmbH, played a pivotal role in achieving this feat. Capcora, a reputable German consulting company, served as the exclusive sell-side M&A advisor to Emeren, facilitating the successful transaction.
The commercial operations of the new PV power plant are anticipated to commence in the second half of 2024.
