The event brought together industry leaders from the GCC Region, showcasing OCI’s unwavering commitment to sustainable growth and alignment with the ambitious Oman Vision 2040.
Themed “Going Green, Going Digital,” the event underscored OCI’s proactive approach to sustainability, exploring innovative pathways towards a greener and digitally driven future. With sustainability deeply integrated into its business strategy, OCI highlighted 50 projects for the next three years, solidifying its commitment to sustainability efforts and the Climate Change Ambition, adhering to Science Based Target initiatives.
Cinzia Farisè, CEO of Oman Cables, detailed the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach, while COO Muhannad Al Lawati outlined Oman Cables’ Climate Ambition, focusing on projects to combat climate change. CSO Giancarlo Esposito illustrated the Social Ambition with various diversity and inclusion projects. The event also emphasized the importance of Innovation4Sustainability, showcasing the company’s innovative projects, including the Renewables Excellence Center for solar, wind, and hydrogen in the region.
HH Dr Adham Al Said, the distinguished Guest of Honour, emphasized the vital role of sustainability in shaping Oman’s future economic development. Aligning with Oman Vision 2040 and the nation’s net-zero emissions goal by 2050, OCI is determined to create a sustainable world that thrives economically while safeguarding the environment for future generations.
