Chien Thang Industrial Company Limited, a prominent aluminum manufacturer with an extensive track record, is set to integrate sustainable practices into its operations through a strategic collaboration with Vu Phong Energy Group. Under this partnership, a 1.5 MWp rooftop solar power system will be installed in Chien Thang’s facility, marking a significant leap toward clean energy adoption.
The project’s development follows a Power Purchase Agreement model, wherein VP Energy and Vu Phong Energy Group contribute investment and expertise as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) general contractor and operation and maintenance (O&M) provider, respectively.
Chien Thang Industrial Company Limited has garnered renown for its specialized production of shaped aluminum products, serving well-known brands such as Honda, Samsung, and Yamaha. With over two decades of industry experience, the company boasts advanced manufacturing and inspection tools, ensuring its products meet international quality standards.
The installed 1.5 MWp solar power system is projected to generate nearly 2,000 MWh of electricity, significantly supporting Chien Thang Aluminum’s manufacturing operations. In environmental terms, this translates to a reduction of approximately 1,400 tons of CO2 emissions annually. Through the PPA arrangement, Chien Thang Industrial can harness solar energy without the initial investment and operational responsibilities. This strategic move enables the company to access solar power at a more economical rate than traditional electricity costs, thus trimming energy expenditure in the production process.
Mr. Tri, Nguyen Quang, CEO of Vu Phong Energy Group, expressed his pride in this collaboration, highlighting the group’s track record of successfully implementing solar power systems under the PPA model. Vu Phong Energy Group’s expertise, capacity, and commitment to renewable energy align seamlessly with Chien Thang Industrial’s sustainability vision.
This partnership comes as VP Energy, a subsidiary of Vu Phong Energy Group, continues to contribute to Vietnam’s renewable energy landscape. Having completed and transferred over 25 MWp of solar projects, VP Energy’s impact is growing through numerous rooftop solar installations across the nation. One of their recent contracts involves a 3.5 MWp solar power system for Quang Quan Plastic Factory, further solidifying Vu Phong Energy Group’s role in Vietnam’s green transformation journey.
