Sunview Group Berhad, a major player in renewable energy, has reported its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 (Q1FYE2024). The company experienced a substantial 245.1% increase in revenue, reaching RM108.7 million compared to Q1FYE2023.
Additionally, Sunview reported a 9.8% growth in profit after tax (PAT), totalling RM2.0 million. The surge in revenue is primarily attributed to the progress in construction works for large-scale solar 4 (LSS4) projects.
Sunview Group Berhad’s CEO and Executive Director, Ong Hang Ping, expressed satisfaction with the significant revenue increase compared to the previous year.
He also highlighted the company’s robust order book of RM472.7 million, with the majority of contracts stemming from LSS4 projects. Furthermore, Sunview is actively expanding its solar energy asset portfolio to establish a more robust stream of recurring income.
The company aligns with the Malaysian Government’s target of achieving 70% renewable energy in the total energy mix by 2050 and has secured two Corporate Green Power Programme projects, which will further contribute to its order book in the near future.
