Gokul Milk Invites Bids for 6.5 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

Gokul Milk Cooperative Dairy based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, has initiated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and commissioning (EPC) of a 6.5 MW captive solar power project. The project is designed to generate green energy for Gokul Milk’s own consumption, in line with their sustainability objectives. Gokul Milk aims to replace a portion of its current electricity procurement from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) with cleaner energy sources through this initiative.

The selected EPC contractor will assume responsibility for various aspects, including design engineering, procurement, inspections, project installation, commissioning, and all necessary tasks related to land acquisition and obtaining clearances. The contractor must also liaise with government agencies.

To participate in the bidding process, prospective bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs. 30,00,000/- (Thirty Lakhs). Successful bidders must provide a performance bank guarantee (PBG) of Rs. 60 Lakhs.

The solar project is to be ground-mounted and will feed electricity into the MAHADISCOM grid at the appropriate voltage level. To be eligible for bidding, candidates must demonstrate their experience in acquiring, developing, operating, and maintaining open-access renewable power projects with a combined capacity of at least 25 MW over the past three years.

Furthermore, bidders should have a track record of handling at least two open-access renewable power projects in Maharashtra, each with a minimum capacity of 15 MW.

The bidding deadline for interested parties is set for September 25, 2023.
