During the meeting, Al Tayer emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and strengthening economic, trade, and investment relations, particularly in sectors of common interest. Furthermore, Al Tayer underlined Dubai’s efforts to achieve net-zero emissions in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. DEWA’s initiatives have already led to a 19% reduction in net carbon emissions in Dubai by 2022. Notably, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world, is a significant project in DEWA’s clean energy portfolio.
The Indonesian Ambassador highlighted the importance of fostering trade, investment, and knowledge exchange between Indonesia and the UAE. He recognized the substantial potential for cooperation, partnerships, and investment opportunities between Indonesian companies and DEWA. The Indonesian side also expressed interest in participating in DEWA’s pioneering clean and renewable energy projects and commended DEWA’s dedication to advancing clean and renewable energy solutions.
