Temple Trust in Maharashtra Invites Bids for 250 MW Solar Project

In a recent development, the Shri Tuljabhavani Temple Trust has issued a tender, inviting bids for technical consulting services aimed at overseeing the installation of a solar power project with a minimum capacity of 250 MW. The proposed project is slated to be located near Malumbra and Masala villages in the Tuljapur district of Maharashtra, spanning a 1,000-acre land parcel adjacent to the Tuljapur-Solapur road, part of the National Highway Solapur-Dhule.

Interested parties must submit their bids by November 28, 2023, with bid opening scheduled for November 30.

To participate, bidders are required to pay a tender application fee of ₹10,000 plus 12% GST, coupled with an earnest money deposit of ₹100,000. The specified timeline for completing the outlined work in the tender is six months.

Authority regarding the acceptance or rejection of tenders, as well as the ability to modify terms and conditions without prior notice to bidders, rests with the Collector of Osmanabad and the Chairman of the Shri Tuljabhavani Temple Trust.

Key prerequisites for potential bidders include a proven track record in establishing solar power facilities, Indian registration for their consulting firms, and a minimum of seven years of consultancy sector experience. The consultants’ responsibilities encompass a thorough site assessment covering factors such as solar radiation, return on investment, and evaluation of available infrastructure.

Additionally, consultants are expected to address aspects like transmission line path efficiency, potential Right of Way (ROW) issues, installation capacity estimation, and water testing at nearby locations. Compliance with India’s regulatory, renewable energy, and accounting frameworks, along with a minimum average annual turnover of ₹500 Lacs from consultancy business over the past three fiscal years, are also prerequisites for potential bidders.
