Recently, the China Export-Import Bank Sino-Saudi Enterprise Seminar was held in Riyadh. With the theme ‘Building Consensus, Seeking Development,’ the meeting focused on deepening the connection between banks and enterprises, strengthening communication among companies, innovating business models, enhancing compliance operations, and fostering comprehensive and multi-field cooperation. This aimed to further promote the deepening and solidifying of Sino-Saudi economic and trade cooperation. Ren Shengjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and President of the China Export-Import Bank, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Leaders of major groups such as China Energy Engineering, China National Electric Engineering, and China Harbor Engineering participated and delivered speeches. Jin Jian, the President of LONGi’s MEA&CA, Utility Business Group, represented the
company at the meeting and spoke.

President Ren Shengjun highlighted the enormous business opportunities in the Saudi market and expressed that the China Export-Import Bank will focus on technological innovation, green finance, and exert its full efforts to facilitate the implementation of business in the Saudi market. Confronting the opportunities and challenges in the future Saudi market, the China Export-Import Bank will actively explore innovative financing models, establish a scientifically effective project financing framework, promote the internationalization of RMB, and enhance services such as RMB loans, factoring, and accounts receivable. Additionally, they emphasized strengthening cooperation between banks and enterprises, aligning with Chinese enterprises, jointly seeking development, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
Jin Jian, the President of Utility MEA&CA of LONGi, presented an overview of LONGi’s corporate development and the current status, as well as the future market potential of the Middle East photovoltaic market to the attendees. He expressed that the Saudi market, with its tremendous growth potential, is a crucial target market for Chinese photovoltaic enterprises and a significant focus for LONGi in the Middle East. After years of dedicated efforts, LONGi has achieved notable success in the Saudi market. Completed projects with shipped modules include the Red Sea project, Sudair project, Rabigh project, and Jeddah project โ all large-scale ground-mounted projects
with significant local impact and significance. These projects have received positive market acclaim, contributing significantly to supporting Saudi Arabia’s ‘2030 Vision.’ President Jin also analyzed the market characteristics of the Middle East, which presents
both opportunities and challenges. He provided constructive suggestions on how financial institutions can assist and support Chinese enterprises in overcoming difficulties and expanding regional business.
At the meeting, the China Export-Import Bank introduced relevant financial products. Representatives from China Energy Engineering, China National Electric Engineering, China Harbour Engineering, China Construction Bank, Metallurgical Corporation of China, Huawei, TCL Technology, and other enterprises engaged in discussions with China Export-Import Bank. They explored financing needs for business development in Saudi Arabia, the characteristics of existing financing solutions in the market, and future strategies for collaborative development between banks and enterprises in the Saudi market.
