BSPGCL Issues Tender for 10 MW Floating Solar Project at Phulwaria Dam in Bihar

Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd (BSPGCL) has initiated a tender for procuring power through tariff-based competitive bidding, targeting a grid-connected 10 MW (AC) floating solar PV power project. The project is slated for establishment under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode, positioned over the Reservoir of Phulwaria Dam in Rajauli, Nawada, Bihar.

The deadline for online bid submissions is December 15, 2023. The techno-commercial bid review is also scheduled for the same date, while the financial bid opening will be disclosed later to eligible participants. Further details, including the e-reverse auction request schedule, will be communicated post the evaluation of financial bids.

The tender outlines the comprehensive scope of work, encompassing the development of the floating solar project along with the associated transmission network up to the delivery point. The developer is mandated to secure all requisite approvals.

The contractual agreement between Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited and state power distribution entities will span 25 years under a power purchase agreement.

Bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of INR 1.2 Crore.

Bidders must meet specific criteria, having commissioned solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 5 MW, including at least one project of 1 MW capacity. The bidding documentation specifies that only solar modules registered under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers will be considered, accompanied by a ten-year warranty.

This initiative aligns with Bihar’s commitment to renewable energy growth, showcasing a strategic move towards sustainable power generation.
