The cutting-edge bus stops showcase a blend of innovative design, interior functionality, and exterior aesthetics inspired by the natural beauty of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasizing sustainability and the local environment.

H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of RAKTA, emphasized the strategic focus on sustainable projects, ensuring alignment with environmental sustainability standards, user needs, and the unique identity of Ras Al Khaimah. These stations are powered by renewable energy, specifically solar power, and utilize materials sourced from the region’s mountains.

As part of its comprehensive development plan for transportation spanning 2023 to 2030, RAKTA plans to proliferate these eco-friendly bus stops, aiming to create an integrated public transportation system.

The stations provide shaded areas, air-conditioned spaces for commuters, and informative signboards displaying bus routes and schedules. This initiative seeks to encourage residents to embrace eco-friendly public transportation for their daily travel needs.
