GRIDCO Sparks a Solar Revolution: 500 MW Power Tender Invites Bids with Greenshoe Option

In a significant move towards sustainable energy, GRIDCO Limited has issued a tender inviting bids for the supply of 500 MW solar power through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The tender, with an intriguing Greenshoe option, presents a unique opportunity for renewable energy enthusiasts.

The offer spans from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, contributing to a long-term commitment to harnessing solar energy. To participate, interested entities must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 5 lakhs per MW, showcasing their commitment to the bidding process. Additionally, a Contract Performance Guarantee of Rs. 10 lakhs per MW is required.

Prospective bidders should mark January 16, 2024, as the Bid Submission Deadline, set at 1400 hrs, approaches. The unveiling of the Tender Documents is scheduled for 1700 hrs on January 17, 2024.

With a Minimum Bid Quantity of 10 MW and a cap at 250 MW, this initiative promotes inclusivity in the renewable energy sector, encouraging both established and emerging players to contribute to the green energy landscape.
