Hinduja Renewables emerged victorious in a fiercely competitive bidding process, securing a contract to establish a 140MW solar power infrastructure through GUVNL’s tender at an impressive tariff rate of INR 2.64/kWh. Additionally, there’s potential for an expansion to 280MW, subject to GUVNL’s potential exercise of the Greenshoe option for an additional 140MW capacity.
This accomplishment falls under GUVNL’s Solar Tender Phase -XXII, aimed at selecting solar power developers for 500MW Solar Power Projects nationwide. Among four winning developers, Hinduja Renewables stood out, competing against top Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
Sumit Pandey, CEO of Hinduja Renewables, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, โAdding to our series of wins this year from various central and state tenders like NHPC and GUVNL, this achievement strengthens our position. It brings our operational capacity in the country to over 1.5GW in the upcoming years. Hinduja Renewables is steadily advancing towards establishing a multi-GW portfolio in power capacity.โ
