RATCH Group Public Company Limited disclosed a significant development. Solarist Thungfai Company Limited, an indirect subsidiary with a 51.67 percent shareholding by RATCH Group, has successfully entered into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.

The agreement marks the initiation of a solar farms project boasting a contracted capacity of 27 megawatts (MW), set to commence commercial operations in 2030.

The project, designed to receive a favorable Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) rate of THB 2.1679 per kilowatt-hour throughout its contractual term, aims to play a pivotal role in reducing fuel price volatility.

Additionally, it seeks to alleviate the electricity cost burden for both household and industrial sectors. By providing access to clean energy at a competitive price compared to the current average electricity rates, the project aligns with RATCH Group’s commitment to sustainable growth, carbon neutrality, and environmental responsibility.

This venture underscores the company’s dedication to expanding its footprint in renewable energy, striving to achieve targets that include 25 percent of the total generation capacity sourced from renewable energy. RATCH Group’s investment in clean energy initiatives positions it as a proactive player in Thailand’s journey towards a sustainable and responsible energy landscape.
