1. How did Buskowitz Energy achieve rapid growth and secure over 20% of the Philippine renewable energy market within one year?
Building a strong brand reputation based on reliability, quality, and trust was instrumental in securing market share and fostering customer loyalty with our commercial clients. We worked our way up through word of mouth and client recommendations. Understanding the needs of customers is important, and we all wanted to help lower the electricity costs for businesses and homeowners alike.
2. How does Buskowitz Energyโs focus on developing a substantial renewable asset and infrastructure base contribute to its own development goals and the broader low-carbon future initiative in the Philippines and Southeast Asia?
A pioneer in rooftop solar, Buskowitz Energy mainly develops its renewable asset and infrastructure base by offering integrated solar photovoltaic services, the company offers engineering, procurement, and construction, consultation, custom design and evaluation, financing as well as operations and maintenance.
To make solar more affordable for the commercial market, we help facilitate easier and cost-effective access by offering solar leases, loans and power purchase agreements. Buskowitz Energy has successfully installed and commissioned over 300 projects for hotels, schools, universities, cold storage facilities, gas stations, manufacturing plants, hospitals, warehouses, and other industries.
We have developed and provided rooftop solar for international brands such as Coca-Cola, Shell, as well as other local industry giants such as Petron, SM Mall, Robinsonโs Malls, NLEX or Metropacific Investments, among others.
From a sustainable perspective, the company focuses on rooftop solar to maximize the roofing on overpopulated cities, where land is scarce. By prioritizing solar installations on roof space rather than that of solar farms, the company helps preserve arable lands in the Philippines. As of 2021, the World Bank shared that โ18.5% of the Philippines lands remain arable.โ
Buskowitz Energy continues its commitment to align with the global shift towards a low-carbon future by reducing greenhouse gas emissions not only in the Philippines, but to help develop rooftop solar in other Southeast Asian countries in the future.

4. Given the evolving energy sector and your commitment to addressing growing energy demand challenges, what is your outlook for the future of renewable energy development under your leadership, both for Buskowitz Energy and the industry as a whole?
Renewable energy holds a paramount position in today’s world, more than ever, due to the confluence of significant global and economic challenges. These include:
- Energy Security: The escalating demand for energy, driven by a growing global population and an increasing reliance on technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles, Phones, Computers and other digital devices, underscores the urgency for sustainable energy solutions. The current predominant reliance on fossil fuels, which are inherently finite, presents a pressing concern. As these resources dwindle, the principles of supply and demand forecast an inevitable surge in energy costs. This trend is already evident, with solar energy emerging as a more cost-effective alternative to traditional coal-based power.
- Climate Change: The imperative to address sustainability is twofold: firstly, to mitigate the potentially catastrophic impacts of climate change and, secondly, to adapt to a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Under my leadership at Buskowitz Energy, and reflecting on the broader industry, my vision for the future of renewable energy development is rooted in innovation, sustainability, and accessibility. We are committed to pioneering solutions that not only meet the current energy demands but also anticipate future challenges, ensuring that renewable energy is a viable, affordable, and sustainable option for all. Our aim is to lead by example, demonstrating that renewable energy can be both economically viable and environmentally responsible, paving the way for a sustainable future for the next generations.
