The updated rate scales will result in revenue increases of up to 33%, encouraging the development of larger facilities. For instance, a 630-kilowatt facility will now receive around USD 0.09 per kWh, up from the previous rate of USD 0.07. This move aims to align with government renewable energy goals and enhance the reliability, efficiency, and cleanliness of the electricity sector.

Additionally, the Authority is extending incentives for low-voltage storage facilities, promoting grid charging through a fixed-rate mechanism to provide certainty for entrepreneurs. The analysis reveals a need for better incentives for facilities exceeding 200 kilowatts in capacity.
