IREDA, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd., has taken a significant stride in advancing innovation and research within the renewable energy sector. This move comes through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar. The MoU, formalized today at the 100 Cube Start-up Conclave hosted by IIT Bhubaneswar, aims to foster collaborative efforts in innovation and research initiatives, technology transfer, and the cultivation of the start-up ecosystem.
The MoU was signed by Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, and Dr. Debi Prasad Dogra, Independent Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, in the esteemed presence of Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Honโble Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar.
Addressing the significance of this partnership, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, CMD of IREDA, stated, “This collaboration with IIT Bhubaneswar signifies a noteworthy milestone in our endeavor to foster innovation and sustainable development within the renewable energy sector. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations, we aspire to drive impactful research initiatives and catalyze the growth of the renewable energy domain.”
The collaboration between IREDA and IIT Bhubaneswar is poised to facilitate joint research endeavors, facilitate technology transfer, and provide comprehensive support for the start-up ecosystem. Additionally, it will encompass capacity-building initiatives such as training programs, seminars, and workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of IREDA officials.
