DEWA’s Innovation Centre Spotlights Sustainable Solutions At Cleantech Innovators Exhibition For UAE Innovates 2024

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) continues to spearhead innovation initiatives with the inauguration of the Cleantech Innovators activity at DEWA’s Innovation Centre, aligning with the ‘UAE Innovates 2024’ campaign.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, officially opened the event, which features an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies, solutions, and innovations contributing to a sustainable future.

The Cleantech Innovators exhibition highlights innovations from 15 prominent local and international experts, professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. Al Tayer explored the latest advancements in green hydrogen, green mobility, digital transformation, big data, solar energy solutions, and energy storage technologies. The exhibition also includes demonstrations of the Green Charger initiative for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, a dedicated area for electric vehicles, and the use of robots for solar panel cleaning.

Al Tayer emphasized DEWA’s commitment to leveraging innovation for sustainable practices, transforming the energy sector, and addressing climate change challenges. The Innovation Centre plays a crucial role as a global incubator for innovation, supporting Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. It serves as a hub for exploring the latest innovations in clean and renewable energy, fostering a culture of innovation, and attracting professionals and experts in the field.
