WEBEL Technology Limited Invites Bids for Supply of 1.5 MW Rooftop Solar Systems on Court Buildings in West Bengal

Webel Technology Limited (WTL), an entity under the Government of West Bengal, is seeking bids for supply, installation and implementation of grid connected 20KW Solar PV systems installation at district court complexes. These systems will have a combined capacity of 1.5 MW across 75 district court complexes in the state.

The bid submission deadline is March 27, 2024, with bid opening on March 29, 2024. Bidders must submit a tender fee of Rs 10,000.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, testing, installation, commissioning, and full maintenance of the solar plants over a five-year period. Successful bidders will also supply necessary components such as solar modules, inverters, module mounting structures, junction boxes, cables, and earthing systems.

WTL has conducted preliminary site surveys and will provide location details to interested bidders. Detailed site assessments and implementation plans are required as part of the technical evaluation process.

Interested bidders should have prior experience in executing similar grid-connected solar projects, with a minimum cumulative capacity of 500 kW for government clients. Each power project must have a minimum capacity of 10 kW.

Additional eligibility criteria include a minimum average annual turnover of ₹25 crore and a positive net worth during at least three of the past five financial years. Bidders must have local offices and service centres across West Bengal zones, as well as valid trade licenses, electrical contractor licenses, and relevant statutory registrations.

An earnest money deposit of ₹20 lakh is required, along with a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the total contract value.

Consortium bids with a maximum of three partners are permitted, provided they meet the qualifying criteria.
