Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Southern Region Pipelines, headquartered in Nungambakkam, Chennai, has announced an open tender invitation for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 1 MWp Solar Power Project at SRPL Chittoor. This project includes a comprehensive one-year operation and maintenance (O&M) contract, extendable for an additional four years. The tender, is being facilitated through an online e-tender portal and adopts a two-bid system, emphasizing a transparent and competitive bidding process. Notably, no fee is required to download the tender documents, aiming to ensure broad participation.
Scheduled for a contract period detailed within the tender documents, bidders are required to quote rates as a percentage above, at par, or below the rates indicated in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), excluding GST. The project site is located in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, with the scope of work comprehensively outlined in the tender documentation.
Eligibility criteria for the bidders include a mix of commercial and technical qualifications, with an emphasis on prior experience in similar projects of at least 500 KWp On-Grid Solar Power Projects with various metering or feed-in facilities.
The bid submission window opens on 27th March 2024 and closes on 10th April 2024, with the tender opening scheduled for the 11th April 2024.
IOCL requires bidders to furnish an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.5,18,500.00 and adheres to specific payment and performance security protocols. The tender documents underscore IOCL’s commitment to a fair and efficient procurement process, inviting competent Indian contractors to participate in this green energy initiative.
