Lintas Green Energy GmbH, headquartered in Oldenburg, announces a strategic investment that will bolster its position in the energy sector and propel its growth trajectory.
Octopus Energy’s generation division has acquired a fifty percent stake in Lintas Green Energy, while the remaining shares continue to be held by Lintas GmbH. This partnership reinforces Lintas Green Energy’s standing as a dynamic project developer for renewable energies and provider of energy solutions.
The company aims to develop one gigawatt of new wind and solar parks in Germany by 2030, sufficient to power 370,000 households with clean electricity. Already, Lintas has successfully developed wind and solar parks across various regions and boasts a significant pipeline of projects in Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Hesse, Bavaria, and other federal states.
Peter Forch, CEO of Lintas Green Energy, emphasizes the strength of the alliance, combining energy expertise, project development capabilities, and sustainable capital. This partnership positions Lintas Green Energy as a formidable partner for landowners, municipalities, and large consumers alike.
The injection of growth capital will facilitate the acceleration and expansion of new wind and solar park development. Additionally, Lintas Green Energy plans to diversify its business by venturing into battery storage and other offerings tailored to meet the evolving needs of large consumers and the dynamic energy market.
Furthermore, Lintas Green Energy serves as a service provider for energy-intensive companies, assisting in the transition to CO2-neutral processes and providing clean energy through power purchase agreements at or near their facilities.
