Bundelkhand University (BU) in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, is seeking bids from solar developers for the establishment of a 1.2 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic project.
Implemented under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model, the developer will invest its own capital and supply solar power to the university at predetermined tariffs. The project’s capacity can potentially expand to 5 MW in line with future needs and system performance.
Bid submissions are due by April 8, 2024, with bid openings scheduled for the same day.
The selected bidder will handle the design, financing, equipment procurement, installation, grid connection, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation, and maintenance for a 25-year period.
Bidders are required to provide levelized/fixed tariffs for the project’s operational lifespan. Upon acceptance, the successful bidder must promptly finalize the power purchase agreement within 15 days.
The tender specifies the utilization of solar modules manufactured in India by domestic companies.
Bidders must pay a non-refundable tender fee of โน10,000 and make an earnest money deposit of โน200,000. Bidders shall not have been blacklisted by government or semi-government groups within the past five years.
The tender documentation does not outline specific technical or financial qualification criteria necessary for participation in the tender process.
