INKEL, a public-private partnership initiative endorsed by the Government of Kerala, has announced a tender for module mounting structures required for a 3.5 MW solar power project in Mylatty, located in the Kasaragode district of Kerala.
The deadline for submitting bids is April 11, 2024, with bid opening scheduled for the same day.
The tender specifically requests the supply of hot dip galvanized mounting structures. These structures undergo a galvanization process involving immersing steel components in molten zinc, ensuring corrosion and rust resistance.
The scope of supply encompasses fabrication, machining, hot-dipping, testing, and delivery of ground-mount solar PV module mounting structures in accordance with approved drawings and technical specifications. Additionally, the successful bidder must provide stainless steel fasteners for module assembly and installation.
The Mylatty project site will accommodate 350 table sets, each featuring 30 polycrystalline PV modules arranged in a 15×2 configuration, with each module weighing approximately 22 kg. The mounting structures must endure environmental conditions for 25 years, including wind speeds of up to 150 km/hr, and maintain a minimum tilt angle of 10-13 degrees facing true south.
Bidders must make an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 and pay a tender fee of ₹5,900.
Eligible bidders must be module mounting structure manufacturers or their authorized dealers, with a track record of supplying mounting structures for solar projects exceeding 5,000 kW capacity in the past three financial years. They should also demonstrate an annual turnover of ₹1 crore or more in the preceding five financial years.
The successful bidder can expect a payment schedule that includes 5% as an advance against a bank guarantee, 50% upon delivery of materials to the site, and the remaining 45% upon site acceptance testing and the issue of the goods receipt note.
