Sonelgaz Group And COSIDER Canalisations Partner For 520 MW Solar Power Projects In Algeria

The Sonelgaz Group and COSIDER Canalisations, both subsidiaries of COSIDER Groupe, inked three significant contracts marking a stride towards renewable energy in Algeria. These contracts entail the construction of three photovoltaic solar power plants boasting a collective capacity of 520 MW.

The projects encompass the establishment of two solar power plants located in Touggourt, with capacities of 150 MW and 250 MW respectively, alongside the Bรฉchar power plant, slated to deliver 120 MW of power.

These ambitious ventures are set to materialize through a collaboration with Fimer, a renowned global entity specializing in electricity production and inverters for photovoltaic systems. The anticipated timeline for completion spans between 12 to 14 months.

This strategic move underscores Algeria’s commitment to advancing its renewable energy sector and marks a significant leap towards a sustainable energy future.
