PowerChina has initiated the construction of a 220 MW photovoltaic power plant in Algeria, located in Bir Naam, Biskra province, with completion expected within 16 months. This project represents Algeria’s commitment to adopting renewable energy sources, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and mitigating environmental impact.

Additionally, it is anticipated to stimulate the local economy by creating over 600 jobs during the construction phase, contributing to economic growth and highlighting the connection between renewable energy initiatives and socio-economic development.

In addition to its economic benefits, the power plant will improve energy infrastructure in Bir Naam and enhance energy security and reliability for residents and industries.
