Sungrow’s PowerTitan BESS to Equip SSE Renewables 320 MW/640 MWh Energy Storage Project in Monk Fryston

Sungrow, the global leading PV inverter and energy storage system provider, is excited to announce that its cutting-edge liquid-cooled Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), the PowerTitan, will equip SSE Renewables largest 320MW/640 MWh battery storage project at Monk Fryston, North Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom.

The energy storage system is an indispensable key equipment for building a new power system and plays an important role in all aspects of generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption of energy. The Monk Fryston project aims to energize in late 2025, while Morrison Energy Services, a part of M Group Services’ Energy Division, has been appointed as the project’s principal contractor.
