Envision Unveils ‘Dubhe’ Energy Foundation Model to Power AI-Driven Renewable Energy Systems

Envision, a global leader in green technology, today announced the launch of Dubhe, its new Energy Foundation Model, aimed at creating the world’s largest Physical AI energy system. The model was unveiled by Lei Zhang, Founder and CEO of Envision, during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

Named after Dubhe, the guiding star of the Big Dipper, the model is designed to orchestrate renewable generation, storage, grids, and energy demand in real time by analysing massive streams of real-world energy data. Dubhe aims to unlock the full potential of renewable resources while driving costs toward near-zero marginal levels, enabling energy systems to scale alongside artificial intelligence and meet the rising global energy demands driven by AI technologies.

Advancing Physical AI for Energy Systems
Envision positions Dubhe at the core of its Physical AI architecture, marking a shift from traditional digital AI models to AI that directly governs physical energy systems critical to human infrastructure. Working in tandem with Tianji, Envision’s large-scale weather foundation model, Dubhe can anticipate and respond to weather-driven variability, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of renewable energy systems at scale.

Strategic Partnership with Masdar
In a related development, Envision signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy leader, to advance the large-scale deployment of AI energy systems. The agreement was witnessed by HE Dr Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, and Masdar Chairman.

Under the partnership, Masdar recognizes Envision as a strategic partner across renewable energy technology sectors, including wind power, energy storage, and green hydrogen. The collaboration aims to accelerate the global energy transition and bring AI-driven energy solutions to practical deployment worldwide.
