Vincent Tessé, Deputy General Manager at DH2 Energy, expressed delight at the project’s selection, highlighting the intense competition with 119 eligible projects vying for recognition. The success of Hysencia underscores the company’s commitment to advancing renewable hydrogen technologies.

The geographical distribution of the winning projects, with 5 out of 7 located in Spain and Portugal, underscores the strategic importance of the Iberian Peninsula in Europe’s renewable hydrogen production landscape.

Situated in Plasencia del Monte, Huesca (Aragón), DH2 Energy’s Hysencia project features a 35 MW capacity electrolyzer and a 49 MWp photovoltaic power block. The hydrogen produced by Hysencia will be utilized in industrial and mobility sectors, contributing to the reduction of approximately 115 kilotons of CO2 emissions in its first decade of operation. This milestone reaffirms DH2 Energy’s leadership in the Iberian Peninsula’s renewable energy sector.
