The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued a tender for the repair and maintenance of a 5 MW solar project alongside its ancillary components located in Madhya Pradesh.
The deadline for bid submissions is set for May 25, 2024, with bid openings scheduled for May 27.
The project is estimated to cost around โน25 lakh, with a completion timeframe of six months.
Interested bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit of โน50,000.
Contractors enlisted with MES in Class โEโ or higher are obligated to furnish scanned documents, including a valid email ID, alongside their application. These documents must be uploaded on the firmโs official letterhead. Additionally, contractors must include a demand draft covering the tender cost and provide the enlistment letter and its enclosures. A copy of the GST registration number from the relevant department is also mandatory, as its absence will result in bid disqualification.
Non-enlisted contractors must also submit scanned documents along with a valid email ID, meeting MES enlistment criteria for Class โEโ and presenting evidence of satisfactory completion of similar projects, annual turnover, solvency, etc. An affidavit and attested copies of supporting documents are requisite.
Furthermore, contractors must not have any outstanding recoveries from any government department nor be suspended, debarred, or blacklisted from engaging in bids or business dealings with government entities.
Before the release of a work order, all contractors must provide the provident fund code number to the accepting officer. If the work is deemed inapplicable, contractors can appeal to the accepting officer, whose judgment will be final.
Itโs imperative to note that subletting the work or assigning it to a third party through a power of attorney holder, except for immediate family members or firm employees, is strictly prohibited.
