Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) has announced bids for a two-year comprehensive annual maintenance contract for a 1 MW solar power project at Ramakkalmedu, Idukki.
The deadline for bid submission is May 14, 2024, with bids scheduled to open on May 16.
Bidders are required to pay a tender document fee of Rs. 3,626 and an earnest money deposit of Rs. 24,170.
The selected bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the contract amount.
Bidders must possess a valid digital signature certificate from an approved certifying authority and must be public sector undertakings/companies/firms in Kerala, with consortium bidding allowed. They should have prior expertise in the provision and installation of solar power projects with a minimum cumulative capacity of 100 kW, which should include at least one project with a capacity of 50 kW.
Furthermore, they must hold an Electrical “A/B class contractor license” from the Kerala State Electrical Inspectorate or have authorization from a valid license holder.
They should have completed at least one HT-connected solar power project in Kerala, covering various components’ supply, installation, and commissioning.
Bidders must have a minimum of two years’ experience in supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning solar power projects, along with a competent technical team for project execution and maintenance.
For maintenance purposes, a service center operational in Kerala for the past two years is mandatory.
The total payment will be divided into four instalments, with each to be paid semi-annually upon work completion and submission of an invoice along with the O&M report.
Any faulty system or components must be replaced or repaired within two days of fault reporting, with servicing to be conducted at the installation site. Delays beyond ten days from fault reporting will incur a penalty of Rs. 5000 per month or part thereof.
Delivery of project-related items to the installation site is mandatory.
