With a staggering investment commitment of 4500 Cr, the facility aims to contribute substantially to the nation’s renewable energy goals while fostering socio-economic development in the region.

Grew Energy Pvt Ltd, a pioneering name in India’s renewable energy landscape, is poised to revolutionize solar manufacturing with its upcoming three-stage fully integrated facility in Jammu & Kashmir. Marking a historic milestone as India’s first renewable energy player to set up a manufacturing unit in the region, Grew’s venture promises to bring cutting-edge technology and world-class infrastructure to Kathua.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held at the proposed site, witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities including Mr. Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of Grew Energy, along with Shri Hardip Singh, COO, and distinguished members of the Chiripal Group.

Spread across 80 acres, the high-tech facility is slated to have an annual production capacity of 3.2GW for high-efficiency modules and 2.8GW for ingots, wafers, and cells, aligning with international standards and equipped with advanced automated machinery.

Mr. Vinay Thadani expressed gratitude towards the government’s support and emphasized the transformative impact of the new plant on the socio-economic fabric of Jammu & Kashmir. He highlighted the facility’s role in driving employment opportunities and contributing to India’s ambitious net zero target.

With this strategic expansion, Grew Energy aims to meet the burgeoning demand for solar energy not only in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh but also in neighboring states and the nation at large. Additionally, the company envisions empowering local communities and fostering skill development among the youth.

By FY25, Grew Energy aims to achieve a total manufacturing capacity of 6GW for modules and 2.8GW for solar components, positioning itself as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector. With a focus on high-end Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) modules, the company aims to bolster India’s quest for energy independence while contributing towards global sustainability goals.
