Coal India Subsidiary Invites Bids for 20 MW Solar Project in Odisha

CIL Navikarniya Urja Limited a Subsidiary Company of Coal India Limited invites bids for 20 MW Solar Projects in Odisha.

The scope of work includes designing, engineering, procurement and supply, construction and erection, testing, commissioning, associated transmission system, and comprehensive operation and maintenance for a cumulative 28 MW (DC) / 20 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant across two locations (Jagannath and Lakhanpur Area) of MCL, Odisha, India, spanning a period of 10 years.

The project must be operational within 12 months from the issuance of the work order.

The successful bidder is responsible for providing operation and maintenance services for the project over a ten-year period.

The project’s estimated cost is โ‚น102 crore.

Bids must be submitted by June 6, 2024, with bid openings scheduled for the following day.

Bidders are required to submit โ‚น50 lakh as earnest money deposit.

Within 21 days of receiving the letter of award, the successful bidder must provide a performance security amounting to 5% of the contract value.

A retention amount of 5% of each running bill will be withheld until final acceptance to ensure project completion.

Bidders must furnish a certificate demonstrating possession of minimum working capital equivalent to the project’s estimated cost, along with access to lines of credit and other financial resources.

The solar developer is obligated to generate 19.932 MU of electricity for the Jagannath project and 20.5 MU for the Lakhanpur project in the first year, with an allowable degradation of 0.7% in subsequent years.

In case of project delays, the developer will incur liquidated damages of 0.5% of the contract price per week, up to a maximum of 10% of the total value.

Coal India Limited (CIL) has mandated the use of solar modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
