Funded under the Portuguese Agenda for Agricultural Innovation, the project receives support from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) of the NextGenerationEU. Ten entities, including INIAV (National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research), an educational institution, a producer’s association, and various public and private entities from the agricultural sector, collaborate to enhance the project’s value.

Akuo, along with its exclusive partner and agricultural research office, Agriterra, will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of agrivoltaic solutions tailored to the Fuji apple tree species. Akuo commits to deploying various pilot models to determine the most efficient solution for commercial replication.
